Stratospheric Aerosol Injections (SAI) is a method proposed by a group of scientists to mitigate climate change by dimming the sun through injecting sulfur into the atmosphere. This would result in lowering global temperatures, however, it would also disrupt global weather patterns and fail to address the other issues associated with climate change such as pollution and deforestation. I created this installation as a response to this research, imagining how this future world may look due to this process. Yellow dimmed lighting creates an uneasy atmosphere while chairs, as a metaphor for social relations, begin to degrade and sink down into the ground.
